Famous Canadian Guitarist, Michael Brook has given background score for Dev Benegal’s Road, Movie. Michael has contributed to U2’s famous album The Joshua Tree in the form of his invention – the infinite guitar and was also nominated for Grammy Awards in 1996 for his production work and as co-artist on Pakistani singer Nusrat fateh Ali Khan’s album, Night Song. Book Review: Love and Longing in Hindi Cinema
Jan 4th
Aamir Khan has emerged as the strongest force on the first decade of the current millennium. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif is one woman who is enjoying the best success ratio during last half a decade. Naturally when the two of them come together (in whatever capacity) it is expected to be an event in itself. They may yet have to sign a film together (the day doesn’t look far away) but in the interim they have managed to get cameras busy with their appearance for Cineblitz’s coffee table book ‘Love and Longing in Hindi Cinema’. Not just have More >
"I’ve never made films for critics" – Priyadarshan
Dec 3rd
Critical appreciation be damned. Priyadarshan wants to make films for the masses. Even if it’s about the construction mafia (Khatta Meetha with Akshay Kumar and Trisha) or the stigma attached to inter-caste marriages(untitled film with Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu and Akshaye Khanna) Priyan will speak in the language of the common man. And why not? De Dana Dan is a big hit even in Pakistan where it’s running to packed houses in a theatre with shows from 9 am to 2 am. Priyan says the romantic rain song with Akshay and Katrina which had been edited for reasons of length More >
"Shah Rukh always knew about Tees Maar Khan" – Shirish Kunder
Nov 23rd
This seems to have become a national issue. Farah Khan working with Akshay Kumar for her next directorial venture appears to be nothing short of Sonia Gandhi suddenly deciding to join BJP (sorry, couldn’t think of a better analogy). Pretty much making all around headlines, the news of Shirish Kunder turning producer for Tees Maar Khan which stars Akshay Kumar, is directed by Farah Khan and doesn’t feature Shah Rukh Khan anywhere in close vicinity, has been the hottest recipe of the season. Over to Shirish who bares his heart out and tells Joginder Tuteja all about the past, present More >
Irfan – The youngster who impressed Karan Johar with his songs
Nov 9th
One look at him and he could very well pass off as a model. Speak to him and he comes across as a dude from the urban world with a MBA degree to boast of. Probe him a little and you realise that he is the same man whose ‘Ali Maula’ from Kurbaan is pretty much igniting the heat currently. Ask him about his background and you would be in for a shock as you realise that he is the same youngster who started off on a brilliant note with ‘Aashayein’ [Iqbal], only to follow that with half a dozen More >

Subhash K Jha speaks about Love Aaj Kal
Aug 1st
The first thing to be said about this incredibly enchanting excursion into the matter of the heart as seen in contemporary times and in times gone-bye-bye , is … what’s wrong with these two people who are so much in love? We can see that love. They can’t. That’s the paradox of love in any era. The realization of its existence sometimes takes inexcusably long. And by then, Cupid forbid, love is gone. Love Aaj Kal is a take on love in current times, as seen through the eyes of a filmmaker who can keep an outstanding balance between cinematic More >
